About Us

How We Started

Founder and CEO Greg Tepas started CarAdvise after nearly 15 years in the fleet management industry, during which he served as the CEO of EMKAY, one of North America’s largest fleet management companies. For years, Greg wondered why the vehicle ownership experience for consumers was not more like the experience for fleet management clients: hassle free, efficient, and economical. After hearing story after story about how car care for the general consumer often lacks convenience, transparency, and trust, Greg decided to start CarAdvise in 2015. He took the wisdom and methodologies he had gained over the years to build something that consumers would find much easier, more efficient, and more economical than anything else on the market. By leveraging the best practices from the fleet industry, the CarAdvise platform was built to make car care easy and satisfying for even the least knowledgeable of consumers. The CarAdvise process for vehicle maintenance and repair is uniquely integrated into tens of thousands of shops throughout the nation, with many more on their way.
