Elon Musk plans to assist humanity with his bold goal of forming a space-faring civilization. As the co-founder and CEO of Tesla, he continues to run one of the most innovative companies in the world.

Musk has always been a prodigy. Since a young age, he released IT solutions like Zip2 and Paypal. However, in 2003, his focus turned towards the automobile realm, and he went on to join Tesla Motors as a co-founder. Five years later, the company shook the industry with the Tesla Roadster. Musk was credited to break the monopoly of established automobile brands.

In 2010 and 2016, he was awarded the top Automobile Executive of the Year. Times magazine’s child publication, The Drive, called Musk as the “most influential person” in the automobile industry.

Mary T. Barra came into prominence when she became the first female CEO of General Motors. Mary Barra’s association with General Motors began when she was only 18. Slowly and gradually, she climbed ladders and was named CEO in 2014 at a crucial juncture. In her first year, General Motors had to recall around 30 million vehicles for safety purposes.

Congress summoned her and asked her to provide an explanation regarding the conduct of GM in conjunction with faulty ignition switches; these switches were known to be the cause of 13 deaths. She dedicated herself to rebuilding customer trust again and was successful in doing so.

She was eventually the key to eliminate the toxic and controversial political culture which was often linked with General Motors. Additionally, she emphasized the importance of quality, agility, and efficiency so the company could outpace its rivals.

After his years of rigorous education, he entered the workforce. He bounced around being the CFO and CEO of different companies until he found himself joining the board at Fiat SpA in 2003. After only two years he was named CEO of the automotive division at the Fiat Group Automobiles SpA. He found immediate success in turning this company around, leading them to eventually turn a profit.

Later in 2009, Marchionne was named CEO of Chrysler group LLC, also helping them turn their first profit in years.
Marchionne’s success is expansive and much too large to explain in such a short time. However, we can say without a doubt, he is one of the best auto CEOs in history.
